Energy waste in schools, more often the rule than the exception. Why this is so.

One year consists of 365 days, a school year averages only 200 days. During these NOT teaching days, people often fire as if they were normal teaching days. With the advent of a 4-day class week, the number of teaching days will decrease even further.

Human behavior is one of the main causes. Because when entering a classroom on a cold day, the radiator knob is turned up, but not down at the end of the day. Even worse we regularly find, that a window is opened, while the radiator knob remains on position 5. Sin, Sin....

Boredom

Children turn a radiator knob up during class, but do not return it to its original position.

Unnecessary heating

An entire school building is fired, while lessons are far from being held in all classrooms.

Old radiator knobs

People use traditional and/or thermal radiator knobs. These knobs are not or poorly tuned to a certain fixed temperature. As a result, more gas is consumed than necessary.

How does Let Things Talk solve these problems?

With the LTT Facility platform and the LTT Airhubs, we centrally take care of the readjustment of radiator valves in one school or several schools. On the basis of a weekly schedule and an annual schedule, we make sure, that the radiators only demand during teaching days and not in out of school hours and vacations.

Firing based on presence in a room

Using a presence sensor, we can automatically turn smart radiator knobs down or up. So that there is no unnecessary heating in a room.

Child lock

Using a child lock, we ensure, that the temperature on the radiator knob cannot be changed by the students.

Limiting regulation in offices

In the offices, we ensure that there is only switching between 15 and 25 degrees. Then we automatically regulate the temperature back based on an agenda and/or occupancy.

More efficient heating line

Smart thermostats have a much more efficient heating curve, than traditional and thermal radiator controls. We can demonstrate this by measuring, over a period of time, the heat output of the supply and return radiators.

Also save on electricity consumption

Let Things Talk can also automatically turn printers, smart boards, coffee machines and other electrical equipment on and off for you. So that even these devices no longer consume power unnecessarily.

Many schools have gone before you.

Does your school also want to start saving on energy consumption. Then please contact us.
